Jackery and EcoFlow are the two biggest names in portable power, and they optimise for different buyers. Jackery builds the friendliest, lightest, most foolproof units. EcoFlow builds the fastest-charging, most powerful, most expandable ones. To make it concrete we put their flagship 1kWh units head to head: the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 against the EcoFlow Delta 2.

Where Jackery wins

Jackery’s advantage is that it’s the easiest to live with. The interface is the clearest in the category, the Explorer 1000 v2 is lighter than the Delta 2, and Jackery’s brand ubiquity means help and accessories are everywhere. If this is your first power station, or you’re buying one for a less technical family member, the friction is simply lower.

Where EcoFlow wins

EcoFlow wins on capability. The Delta 2 recharges from empty far faster, its X-Boost lets it run high-wattage resistive loads a 1,500W inverter would refuse, and — crucially — it expands to 3,040Wh with add-on batteries. That makes it the smarter buy if you might grow into home backup, and it’s usually a bit cheaper than the Jackery too.

EcoFlow Delta 2

Best overall · ~$699 · 1,024Wh LiFePO4 · 1,800W
  • ~50-minute wall recharge to 80% — the standout advantage.
  • 1,800W output, 2,700W via X-Boost, and expandable to 3,040Wh.
  • Larger accessory ecosystem and frequent discounts.

The verdict

Buy EcoFlow (Delta 2) if you want the most capability — faster charging, more output, and room to expand into backup power. It’s our overall best portable power station pick for a reason. Buy Jackery (Explorer 1000 v2) if simplicity and light weight matter more than raw specs, or it’s your first unit. Both use long-life LiFePO4 and both are excellent; the right answer depends on whether you value flexibility or ease. Also weighing the value brands? See our Anker SOLIX vs Bluetti breakdown.
